Annual Valor Awards Luncheon (11:30 am) ( 4/28/2010)Location: Liberty House Restaurant, Jersey City, NJ Time: 11:30 A.M. on April 28th Cost: $50 for this event Details: Please join us on April 28th at 11:30 AM for our annual Valor Awards Luncheon. The cost for the luncheon is $50 and the Annual Fee for Club Membership is $200. (you don't need to be a member to attend the luncheon) This year's luncheon is dedicated to the memory of Jersey City Detective Marc DiNardo, who died from gun shot wounds he received in the line of duty on July 16, 2009. In addition to honoring Detective Dinardo, the 200 Club will give its Valor Award to others that have performed heroic deeds within the past year. The Club will also be presenting the Valiant Teamwork Awards and Special Recognition Awards. Scholarships will be presented by the 200 Club to high school seniors that are children of Police, Fire, and EMT personnel. Other groups will also be giving out scholarships, including: Jersey City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 4; Jersey City Fire Department's Firefighter Union Local 1066 & Fire Officers Union Local 1064; and, Hudson County Police Chief's Association. About the 200 Club: The 200 Club was set up in 1984 to recognize the heroic work of Hudson County law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical services personnel. It also provides financial support to families of valiant officers who perish in the line of duty; and, scholarships for children of personnel in those departments.
